i pity the PAF pilots, they have to fly their old aircrafts, putting their life at risk, to serve the country. they should be provided with better aircraft.

well its mainly because of corruption man gyud... ang funds sa military usually goes to their high officials like what happened in the PNP, kad2ng euro generals is also happening in the armed forces

IHMO, most of the comment neglected the COST OF OWNERSHIP of an aircraft, it's not just the acquisition, but it goes beyond that.... the cheapest MRF are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy expesive to maintain we could maybe maintain one one fly for few months... look at this angle also if we are able to buy one..
- training of the pilots
- maintenance of the airframe
- fuel
- armaments
- avionics
- etc...

we are fighting in COIN arena, we needed more of those heavy and medium lift transport.... jets are way too inpractical for now.... naa may plano ang PAF to buy MRF or iterim fighter, but now kay naay mas imptante kay sa ana.... but don't worry F-16 are on the top of PAF list....

it's free to dream.. but it will just dissapoint you.... better dream of something practical...
