Boss: Don't give me that excuse.
Employee: Na bangga bitaw mi sir.
Boss: Who are you kidding?

Boss: Wataru, it's been brought to my attention that you've had 3 instances of tardiness. You surely don't want this to affect your monthly performance evaluation. Is there something that's making it difficult for you to arrive on time?
Employee: Uhm sir, I usually get caught in heavy traffic during the morning rush hour.
Boss: I see. Would a 10-7 schedule make a difference?
Employee: Oh definitely sir.
Boss: Alright, make a proposal on how you'd take care of schedule adjustments and deliverables. Will forward the recommendation to HR.
Employee: Sir, you're the man!

This reminds me of a few months ago when our carpool got into a minor accident two days in a row. One of my companions was groaning kay ma late na sad siya. It's not easy to come by a taxicab where we are. Imagine her telling her boss the same reason for her tardiness two days in a row, her boss would think she was crazy or just didn't know how to make a more 'believable' alibi the second time around. To the bosses out there, crazy things happen. If you could, please be more tolerant. hehe.
