@scytheb_2501: are you a technician? have you worked in an environment where you deal with Macs and Windows, and majority of problems you encounter involve more on fixing Windows rather than Macs? you haven't? i thought so.

the point here is not whether Mac is more secure than PC. of course, it's a no-brainer that it depends solely on the user. if you're a high risk user and you play around with a Mac, don't expect to get yourself fully protected from viruses and malwares, same goes for a PC.

and oh, for the record, i'm a Vista user, not a Mac.

And now for the deconstruction:

Twice as fast was comparing it from edge to 3g. that pic you tried to show had a asterisks explaining it(nice try in getting rid of it). Price is very competitive when you compare it against other network.
3g speed is a AT&T problem not Apple.

Lets move on to Flash and Java. Although flash is widely use, it is not the future, it has been deployed for reach and ease of creation, rather than robust performance. When imagining a Flash Player for iPhone, its high-octane thirst for processor cycles does not bode well for battery life. The second reason of the argument against iPhone Flash is Apple’s strategy to deploy its WebKit “web standards” platform for all third-party application development.
Java? It’s a matter of control for them. Apple can do whatever they want if you don’t like its don’t buy an iphone.
Silverlight? Who cares it’s a Microsoft product. They are not obligated to have it.

There was no real benchmark of comparing results across platforms because either versions of application have the wrong port or having used the wrong programming language that took advantage of each architectures strength, the closest was using synthetic benchmark that the g5 was very competitive.

Apple introduced the desktop G5 June of 2003 based on IBM's power architecture from 2002 while AMD 64 bit processor was introduced Sept 2003. By the way, athlons have a artificial memory limit in its architecture was actually 48 bit.

As for memory, do the math a 64 bit chip which the G5 is can a address 16 exabytes or 16 billion gigabytes. So 4 gigabytes x 4 billion = 14.9011612 exabytes? apple was correct. by the way are you 12?

Kernel panic mostly happens when you got a wrong third party drivers , hardware like hard drive and ram. As a mac user I know this. by default kernel panic is very very rare, 2 kernel panics for the past 5 years in my imac and emac.

16billion gigabytes - such numbers were meaningless. why buy a computer that can have the possibility of reaching 16billion gigabytes (last claimed 2003-2005), right now its only around (4gigs 32bit machines) 16-32gigs or more(servers today).

you did not read my first comment, apple took the heat because they dont want to jeopardized their partnership with AT&T, read their aggrement. a good network is the issue here if you know ho to apply logic. AT&T's 3g cant provide the bandwidth so its their problem. apple claims that the iphone can do this the only thing they were wrong was AT&T cant keep up.

you specifically mention the G5, did it have a 1 ghz model? you just got caught switching the facts.
if can provide a memory slot big enough it can handle 16 billion gigs. theirs no exaggeration their. a 64 bit processor can do it, and that is a fact. you should should stop using the word "overrated" until you use it in context, it makes no sense.
