I will continue to give updates. Also check my blog from time to time--usually I post the current month's sky calendar of events there.

And as to timeline, simple ra man. If it says "GMT", all you have to do is add eight ( hours to that time and that's Philippine time. For example, if an event is to occur at 18:00HRS GMT on a Saturday evening, then 18+8 = 26. Since there are only 24 hours in a day, we need to do this, 26 - 24 = 2 hours. Add 2 hours to 00:00 then you have 02:00, which means ang local Philippine time when it's 18:00hrs GMT, is 2 am, the NEXT day (Sunday sa kadlawon).

I'm sorry, I don't really have a blog where I post schedules of astronomical events, but sometimes I do post about them in the Science section of iStorya.net.

However, best place to check for astro-events in the Philippines is the Astronomical League of the Phils. (ALP) website, located here:

Astronomical League of the Philippines, Inc. | ALP

Go here and click on the monthly sky calendar
ALP News and Updates : What's Up?

This thread needs to be closed, as it pertains to an earlier celestial event (and not about the Venus occultation that happened yesterday evening).
