    akoy tubag sa querry..countries that are currently embracing pure communism are Vietnam and North Korea..take a closer look at the per capita stats

    Vietnam:

    Country Profile

    Capital : Hanoi
    Population : 76 million
    Area : 332,000 sq km
    Currency : dong = 100xu
    Per Capita : $320
    Form : Communism
    Official Languages :
    Vietnamese

    When Vietnam was reunited in 1976, the North began expanding it's plan throughout the country.Â* After they redeveloped their economic plan in 1986 to support a mixed economy (one that can function privately or with state control), Vietnam's economy has taken off.Â* During the 1990's, their economy increased on average 8.6 percent a year and in spite of such economic growth, Vietnam's per capita income hasn't taken off but has remained at an annual low of $320.Â* Vietnam realizes that it cannot do it on its own, it needs outside backing and investments to further advance in today's society.Â* Industrialization is extremely important as is training and knowledge of various basic areas in modern society - banking knowledge, technology, and science to name a few.

    NORTH KOREA:

    Country Profile

    Capital : Pyongyang
    Population : 22.175 million
    Area : 221,607 sq km (N+S.Korea)
    Currency : Won
    GDP : 21Billion (1997)
    per-capita : 757 (2000)
    Exports : $560 million (2000)
    Imports : $1.41 billion (2000)
    Form : Communism
    Official Languages :
    Korean

    PHILIPPINES

    Country Profile

    Capital : Manila
    Population : 71.9 million
    Area : 300 million sq km
    Currency : Peso
    GNP : 72 billion
    Per Capita : $1000
    Form : Democratic Republic
    Official Languages :
    Filipino, English
    Tsk, tsk, tsk, iya ra pud gipili ang Communist countries nga mas ubos ubos ug per capita sa Philippines.

    Wa man lagi nimo apila China dong. Klaro kaayong black propaganda against Communism.

    @jored

    the government you are criticizing is the same goverment that gave you the right to criticize it. The AFP that you despise is the one that sheds blood to secure your freedom.

    BTW the US refuse to sign the treaty of banning landmines because minefields help defend South Korea from invasion by the Communist North Korea.

    @bagofcandies

    umm communism did not start in Russia. The modern communism concept was largely credited to these German guys, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels with the book "The Communist Manifesto". The book preached about an equal society and that sort of thing. I have a copy of the book and it was a good read actually but then it just rethoric. no theoritical communism was really practiced.

    read lang sa wikipedia.org para introductory knowledge sa communism and other things hehe. nindot kaayo na website informative jud di lang sa communism ha hehe.

    @S.N.M.P.

    I disagree. China is not a pure communist nation. The ideology may be communism but the economy leans heavily towards capitalism. They need that to survive since history has proven that communist economic model do not work. Case in point, the Soviet Union. Sayang imong internet access if you don't use it well. You may find these sites are useful. www.google.com www.wikipedia.org
