So what about it? No need to get all sensitive. Oh wait thats a classic symptom of Mac fanboyism.
@fruitsalad bro/sis, ngano mka.ingon mn ka nga ms.secure ang apple nga products?
if ganahan mo apple bitaw for its glamour then your in the wrong section.. adto mo sa trends & fashion..angayan mo didto..
pero if tagaan ko apple products dawaton jd nko ky ako ibaligya sa mga fashionistas![]()
can't believe this..sounds like apple is admitting that their users/buyers are fools..heheh. although that indeed applies to the their fanboys (and girls)![]()

You pay a premium for quality and aesthetics just as you do with any other product ... even PCs (Falcon NW, Alienware, Voodoo). Just because you can't afford them, doesn't make Macs worse than your self-built rig.
@vern: good point.
@all: this turned out to be another mac vs pc thread. nyahaha.
tagae nlng ko ninyo apple be dili gyud mo magmahay dawaton gyud nako niya ako baligya palit ko pc......
it depends sa needs ra na if asa imoha.......
pero mostly ubos og specs ang mac pero bagay ra man iya software para niya gyud
Just to answer your question for the sake of answering it... there are a couple of reasons why I say the Mac is more secure than the PC. See, if you boot up a PC without any virus protection and surf the web, it will catch spywares/malwares and that's a guarantee. Whilst, if you boot up a Mac without changing its default settings, you can surf the web for months without any problems. The mac has a built-in firewall and users rely on Apple to update their security. Although getting infected really depends on you, the user. Which websites you go to, what downloads and softwares you install on your pc, and which attachments you open.
But there aren't as many attacks out there built and coded to spread infection into the mac. I'm not saying that it's invulnerable to attacks, of course all computers are. The thing is, because there are fewer macs in the world than PC's, most malicious code writers choose to target windows users because they have a wider impact. There have been exploits demonstrated on the mac but many are difficult to accomplish in the wild. And also it helps that mac has integrated an option for users when installing software to enter an administrator password compared to the automatic blank passwords in windows.
But to go back to the topic... advertising is advertising. You don't really see it literally.. it's like saying something but really meaning something. I guess unless you're a mac user or are familiar with the mac flatform, you wouldn't understand the meaning behind that statement.
mac haters are just ignorant about the subject reason why they say PCs are better than Macs. they don't even have Macs themselves.
