installing this would greatly improve the performance of your multi-threaded applications and games in your amd x2 cpu. in my experience when i played games without the optimizer, loading time was very high and i noticed that only one cpu takes the brunt of all the work. installing this would evenly share the load between the 2 cpus (or 3 for x3 or 4 for quads).
