@Defiant: so then what are you waiting for? talk to your GF. tell her that the relationship is not worth continuing because "you believe" (and pair it up with a little bit of acting) that it would be unfair to her if you stay. you said you're selfish, so play the "selfish" character by going straight to the point.

for example: tell her that you have a friend and that you are falling in love with her. going through two rough roads just isn't an option so you gotta choose one and stick with it. hurting someone in the process is normal; you can't extract a tooth without affecting the gum.

i'm sorry if i sound harsh but that's all i can say.
