Do it yourself - its probably capacitor problem. Open up your LCD monitor, search for the bloated capacitors, remove it, buy and replace them. Be careful on the polarity. Just google for instructions on how to fix them.
I just fixed 6 LCD monitors last week - all capacitor problems. We used to have our LCD repair at a P400 price from a TV repair shop.
