^ yep i've tried rendering on a compaq laptop with an amd turion64. ok raman gihapon bro. not that fast though.

ako ma suggest sa imo bro is to check out the asus m50 series or the msi gx-600. both are around mid 50K range. if you're really on a tight budget, like me, then i'd go for any dual-core laptop out there that's priced between 25K to 30K. if you can find a core 2 duo that's around 35K, 2nd hand or bnew, then that's a good deal. but if you're gonna focus on making complex scenes, maybe between 500K to 2M polygons, that's a different story. my integrated video could only muster 300K polycount before it shows considerable lag.

thanx... i've read in another forum nga constant use of your laptop for rendering maka dali daw ug guba?

as always heat issues na bro. i don't recommend rendering on a laptop 24/7. unless the payout of your sideline/project outweighs the value of your lappy, i wouldn't risk it. longest i've rendered on a laptop was 3 straight days and it was extremely hot on its underside.

Mao na sya ako giwonder gemcadz, well of course you can do what you want with your lappy, but heat issues with render usage aint good for it sa long run. Well Im just speaking from a budget point of view anyway. If ako ang pabut-on I would model sa laptop when Im mobile then render it sa desktop (unless gamay ra).

depends on your laptop, heat issues such as the fan being underneath the laptop is the dumbest idea, toshiba laptops = fail.

rendering is highly taxing on CPU and RAM and little of the video card. you can get an integrated video card and max out your ram and processor. which should be about in the 50k range, you would need large space on your hard drive too.

i think MAC notebook is good for graphics...bsta, check lng nimo dako ug memory sa video card..a quadcore processor needs a ddr3 ram to maximize its use..pro wala pa mn ddr3 ron so far..so di kaayo fully utilize if processor lng imo i check..try to search more katong pc's with high video card's memory..

uh, i don't think this is the case.

not necessarily. a vcard with 1GB memory and a WEAK gfx processor would not suffice.
