eneloop is made by Sanyo so it should be good if not better than GP,
Here's a review: http://www.stefanv.com/electronics/sanyo_eneloop.html
naa man puy gp nga recyko... basig kompetensya pud na sa eneloop... dugay nako gamit ug sanyo nga rechargeable. ok ra man ang sanyo... pero mas ok ang eneloop.
actually most devices like cameras have a lower tolerance to voltage discharge.
dead battery indicator(cutoff) on devices happens before the battery goes to a level of 1V or lower.
this is why eneloop further increases its advantage over ordinary nimh batteries.
check out this eneloop review...

nakatry ko ana b4 kana fast charger sa GP gigamit nako sa ako tamiya mini 4wheel drive kaniadtong HS pako then ok raman xa dugay sad ma lowbatt. but i like HIWatt rather than GP coz masdugay ma drain then mas dako xa ug mah compare to GP's actually its an industrial battery. so pang heavy usage jud xa. about eneloop wala ko ma say ana kay wala nako nakagamit ana nga batt.
I wonder how the reviewer tested the voltage of the battery while it's inside the camera when it shut off. From experience battery can not hold it's voltage even if you discharge it to 0.0v. To prove this is to get a digital discharger with adjustable discharge cut off. Set discharge Voltage to .9 and quickly remove it from the tray when it reaches .9v. Then quickly get reading and you will be surprised that voltage increase and did not stay at .9v even it only took few seconds. Not saying that eneloop is not good because I think it's very good. But I think the reviewer's conclusion regarding cut off voltage @ 1.0V is assumption.
yes it maybe an assumption on the reviewers part...but i also came to the same assumption...maybe we are wrong...
i understand your point and on my part this is what i observed on my compact drive (cf to hard drive portable device) with voltmeter on its LCD screen thats run by 4 AA batteries.
full charge it reads 5.5v. during operation (copying files) voltage drops below 5.4v (possibly 5.0v to 5.4v) and goes back up once operation is done.
however a weak battery during operation drops its voltage to 4.6v-4.5v device stops working (gives out an error).
sure the voltage might go back up slightly after u remove it from the device. but during operation, the battery did reach that level to trigger that cutoff.
its like cellphones and other battery operated devices. you get low batt. then battery drain were device shuts off. you press power again. device still boots up for some time before device shuts off again. notice also in some devices, battery meter (voltage) goes down by much during a specific operation and bumps up again after a short while (like on my compact drive with volt meter) and in some less reliable phone with less than optimal battery when making a call.
again i was just pointing out that because of the power requirements on these devices, they stop working well before 1 battery cell drops to 0.9v...
good thing bout eneloop is it maintains a 1.2v output longer than even those higher rated mah ordinary nimh batteries which has a faster and steady decline in voltage as it is being used.

i have no problems with GP batteries. I had it for a year na.
You should also try HYBRIO batteries by UNiROSS. pareha rani sa mga ENELOOP batteries. “ultra-low self-discharging” NiMh 2100mAh. naa ni mapalit sa ACE.
