i dont consider him emo nor chris carraba ky as what i understand sa emo is its the short term for emocore which is a subgenre of hardcore punk but with whinning and lyrics about love etc instead of the usual political rebel punk.

Secondhand Serenade and Dashboard Confessional is just a simple acoustic rock for me. dili pod matawag nga folk rock.

mostly the reason why these bands are labeled emo/punk is because of the style they sing which is very similar to pop punk singing...

yea, they're acoustic/alternative rock but i guess because of their lyrics, they're sometimes tagged as emo.
