Default No Longer Under a LAW?

YouTube - No Longer Under A Law

Worldslastchance - No Longer Under A Law

    Luke 16:
17 - And it is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass, than one tittle of the Law to fail.

    Christ told us:

John 14:15 - If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 15:10 - If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

even Jesus Christ our savior kept the commandments.

Jesus was born UNDER THE LAW and in fact observed the very same law (Mosaic Law) like any ordinary Jews in his time. However, Jesus' death broke our bondage of the law since salvation is now open to Gentiles. Romans 7:6 "But now we have been released from the law by dying to what enslaved us, so that we may serve in the new life of the Spirit, not under the old writings."

Worth noting is that Moses Law was from the very beginning promulgated for the Jews hence, his death and resurrection provided a means for Gentiles to follow Christ without the cumber of the Mosaic Law. The Pauline epistles amply clarify how Christianity is to be observed for both Jews and Gentiles where Paul essentially asks Jewish Christians to refrain from imposing Jewish traditions to Christian converts who were non-Jewish for the reason of differences in culture. Galatians 3:28 Paul says, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. " "Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it." (Acts 28:28 )

The observance of the law has been condemned by Jesus to be very superficial and rigorous. The Pharisees for example follow the Ten Commandments and the rituals to the letter that as if their relationship with God is tied by the law. ""Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean" (Matthew 23:25-26 NIV)."

Your faith in God is not about following laws because it only makes God appear like a policeman or a security guard that He is there to watch every move you make when all that is important is to build that friendship from out of love. Matthew 22:37-40 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

In practical terms, would you prefer to keep your relationship with your mother or father because of their house rules?

Yes! if for my own good why not? I Love my Parents.

Exodus 20:12 - Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

    your right.

remember what Jesus said if you Love Him?

    Jesus said:

John 14:15 - If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 15:10 - If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

personally i think laws should serve man and not the other way around

i agree with brownprose, you love your parents because you do and not because of a commandment

and as my favorite author would put it ... obedience makes you follow the law, but love knows when to break it

laws are important to keep order. but it's sad to know that our lawmakers are also our lawbreakers.

Of course, I don't like to blame you if your definition of love is to be MECHANICALLY OBEDIENT. instead of "So love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' (Mark 12:30).

You're verse-quoting not context-quoting so you're taking those verses rather INCORRECTLY. Jesus was not at all referring to the Mosaic Law. John 14:15 is the Commandment of Love, not Moses' Law neither John 15:10 for it speaks on Jesus love and compliance to the will (not the Mosaic Law) of the Father and the command of Jesus to love one another:

    Read up John 15:9-14

9"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. 11I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14You are my friends if you do what I command. 15I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Jesus in the new testament summarizes the law as 2.

    1. Love for God

    2. Love for Neighbor

he said these two are the summary of the entire law.

and he promulgated a new covenant whose laws are not written in stones but in the heart of men.

so it is obvious that it is not the mosaic law.

i would summarized christianity's basic teaching in these 2 words.

    self-examination and self-sacrifice.

this is the theme of the new testament...

point to yourselves, examine your hearts and don't blame your neighbors for whatever actions you do, be responsible. when your neighbor say something wrong to you, examine yourself, you might have done something that made him so mad. and if he had sinned against you, forgive him more than 70 times.

if your eyes sinned, pluck it out and don't blame your neighbor for being unveiled in your presence.
flee from temptations. when a women is unveiled in your presence and you feel like having *** with her, don't give in to your lust then blame it on the women because they showed too much skin. blame it on yourselves for being weak and for being a sinner.

examine yourselves and sacrifice your life for Love so they would know you are from God.

kung tamparuson ka, ipatamparus pud ang pikas aron mahibalo sila na gikan mo sa langit kay mga but-an ug mahigugmaon mo.

that is why the new testament is a good book because its adherents are taught love, peace and tolerance. i see no violence for their neighbors. many verses talks about self-examination and self sacrifice. don't blame your neighbors for your sins. blame yourselves why you give in to sin. and even if someone lead you to sin, forgive that person for god's sake and don't justify killing your neighbor for serving you dinuguan. that is the basic teaching of the new testament.

God never even kept his own commandment.

he said "Thou shall not kill", but then he went ahead and killed people.

    lol
