we are all sinners, not only tomboys and gays. daghan tao kusog kaau mo pin point na luod ug makasasala mga gays/tomboys when it fact we are all sinners. mga gays/tomboys ra diay makasasala? try to figure it out.

Thing is, most people don't even get what Proposition 8 or Proposition 22 for that matter was all about.

First off, we are referring to the United States, and there is something folks have either overlooked or ignored. I'm referring to the Constitutional privileges and fundamental rights by which America is founded upon:

    1. Freedom of religion
    2. Equality under the law

Nowhere in the U.S. Constitution or the Bill of Rights is a line that says "gays and lesbians are excluded".

That being said, religious institutions have every right to deny anybody from performing marriage ceremonies under their church, temple etc. even with a marriage certificate provided by the state available. However, marriage isn't a religious title. Civil marriage is a contract or binding agreement between two individuals overseen by an elected official. It's not about a couple having *** nor is it about God.What happens at a church is a ceremony, a religious formality not even required by the State. Proposition 8 ignored a decision made by the California Supreme Court that recognized same *** marriage as a right. Proponents will be pleased to know that Proposition 8 -like Proposition 22- will be seen as a violation of the Constitution once it gets to the California Supreme Court.

Same *** marriage in my opinion is a bridge to far. There is no wrong for being gay or lesbian coz it can be environmental cause or just plain freak of nature. So if one is gay or lesbian they better stay with the status quo. My objection to this idea lies only in two arguments. First, the family is a fundamental building block of the society. The parent should be able to provide moral and proper emotional support to the child. I just cannot imagine how two guys (or women) will raise a child normally when at the first place they started abnormally. Second, unfortunately for them, the ALMIGHTY only designed the reproduction to happen between man and woman.

While freedom is essential and innate to a free man but there is limit to everything. Some of our freedom are better left on theories and what if's rather than applied. For me this is another case of Evil vs. Lesser Evil. However, same *** marriage is for me "Evil" through-and-through: a poison I am certain not to play with.

Proposition 8 is an AMENDMENT to the California State Constitution and is therefore not a violation of it. It is in response to the May 15 split decision of the California Supreme Court (which allowed same-*** marriage) so it does not ignore that decision at all.

Now the opponents of Proposition 8 are engaging in legal sleight of hand to make it appear that Proposition 8 is a revision and not an amendment. This would require a vote in the California legislature. Many people see this latest move against Proposition 8 as mere manipulation and have noted its poor legal footing. But the decision could still go either way because of the California Supreme Court's radical tactic of "legislating from the bench".
