If HTML could preform all the functions of Flash..we would not need to use Flash.. but currently it does not!
So Flash represents a direction that the mainstream wants the web to work towards. In return you get technologies that appear in web standards such as, Style Sheets, DHTML, SMIL, SVG, etc...
This allows us true web developers that want to only use HTML standards a way of using simmillar functions as flash on our sites with-out depending on a third party plug-in.
But the sad fact is.. there are more people with the flash plugin then people with browsers that support the new HTML standards. :mrgreen:

* now a days combination of HTML + flash is good, and its depend on what type of web site are you developing but business type related website dili kaau mo prefer ug flash "Corporate Type". And I just notice every pinoy made nga web site specially fresh graduate nga ppol dili involve ug web business used intro like this above looking for somebody to do flash intro hehehe saonz i prefer just banner ang flash and everything be in html / css if your concern with your ranking and if your targeting business type / mature type nga client / customer nga mo visit sa imo site.. flash is sa mga bag-o generation type of viewers and old fashion dont mind the design sa content ra gani ang uban heheheh

I personally hate flash. I do not like websites which force me to install a plugin.
If I see a website with flash, which is blocked by noscript, I just leave that site.
