Share ko lang.. we had an uncle in his mid-40's that got sick all of a sudden...his turned yellow and his belly got big. Being in the medical field...we suspected liver problems. Our uncle went to Cebu Doc, had all the lab works, tests..name it..he got it. Lo and behold..all results came back...and all were negative for abnormalities. It baffled the family not to mention the doctors and the medical staff. So, being in a religious family...mananambals and kind was like not the choice or the very least option to the issue. Anyway, the family finally approached a mananambal and was asked to make subay...since what started as our uncle getting a check-up, he ended up getting admitted in the hospital, since our uncle was getting worst as the hours went by. The next day we noticed that his belly seems like it was growing...

Fast forward..so, the family approached the person to make subay...he asked us to bring him an egg of a white chicken, a little piece of wood ( tabla ) and a small basin. He asked everyone in the house to leave or stay outside of the house except my mom and my uncle's daughter. He then started to make oracion or yam-yam as what the others would call it. Then he told my mom and cousin...if this egg rolls down...then he ( our uncle ) was just sick and not properly diagnosed, otherwise... someone made barang kuno. And so , it started...this guy then puts the tabla in a diagonal way with something on one end to make it slanted. He then puts the egg with its pointed end, something like making it stand at the top of the slanted tabla..so, para mo-roll ang egg. To my mom's and cousin's surprise..when the person released the egg, the egg stood up at the edge of the tabla....

So, the next thing was to take the small basin and "see" who wanted him sick or maybe dead...the mananambal saw a lady, described her and why she wants this bad thing to happen with our uncle. Sad to say, the mananambal could not help and heal my uncle..the mangkukulam that the female asked to do her bidding wanted our uncle dead by Friday and the mangkukulam..coincided my uncles "life" with the incoming tide...worst of all, this was during the Holy Week...that it was too late kuno cause the high tide was coming in and the next day was Good Friday..when the mananambals could not do anything, specially healing or unhexing. The mananambal said that is was kinda unfortunate that they approached him very late due to the family's hesitance and beliefs...or to the disbelief in pananambal.

As our uncle got worst..later that evening Thursday....he then died the next day, Good Friday. Death was undiagnosed...

Unfortunate for us again..cause after a few years down the road, another uncle in his late 40's ( a husband of one of my mom's cousin ) had the same fate..very similar in ways...he got sick on Thursday, then was very critical on a Good Friday, died on a Black Saturday. Mind you guys, this uncle was young, healthy and never got hospitalized... apparently, both had issues with some land disputes with other individuals...different individuals that wanted them died, because of the "bad" land dispute...

So, I dunno what are your takes about this story of mine..but somehow it makes you think, doesn't it?
    similar experience with my dad.

Here is something to shed some light about the topic. (If you are curious enough.) I'm sure JX has something to say about this as well.

@gibznecromancer: pilay success rate ani pre? If naai failure I will simply rule this out as mere coincidence (which happens to be the case with voodoo and that has been proven as a hoax). If I am to believe in this "craft" then I'm expecting at least 99.9% success rate. Also, what kind of effects does it have on the person? Is it fixed or can we choose?

ako mama gibarangan man kadaghan na and so far walay epek. nakadaug pa gani siya ug lotto. LOL. in short ang barang "STORYA RA NA".

@ARAH: i think mao na ang original effect sa barang. Wikipedia describes voodoo magic as the caster puts a small beetle in the victim's stuff. This is the type that causes irritation sa panit.
