This could be a good example of linux deployment at large scale for end users. Unlike tech guys, end users tends to resist those kind of changes, specially if they are used to M$. It's always a challenge to implement something that affects the way users do their daily task.

In our comapny we did'nt make any adjustments for the users. The users had to learn (more like forced to learn) how to use Ubuntu 6.06.1 by themselves.
It took only a month for our users to learn how to use Ubuntu. 
As for apps no extra apps were used since the only thing our users used was Open Office, Firefox & Evolution.
