Maybe the passion that had been poured into this topic is brought in part by that proverbial existential question- meaning of one's existence. Majority of people can't or won't seem to accept the cold reality that nothing awaits them after death. In their faith they do have something to hope for.

Of course some people may say that they find meaning in what they do or have today. But as one great mind had said, " I don't want to live in my work, I want to live in my apartment."

Look around you, all of nature is struggling to survive without even knowing why. So don't get exasperated if people seem to you so stupid in their daily bickering about something that gives them some sort of direction.

Perhaps they do that without even knowing why. They just having their time being at their best- being human.
