Actually if we do make a survey among the youngsters, you'll find a resonating OK as an answer. Just becoz its practiced and tolerated by many doesnt make a wrong thing right. If we continue in this rythm, we will soon twist the concept of morality. The conservative Filipino culture which was once unique to us is now enveloped by the western culture.....well a clear effect of colonial mentality. sad but true.

Being conservative was once a culture of the filipinos. If our parents strictly believe in such then it is up for the new generation to respect that as that was inculcated into them. We should respect that belief in them even if we dont.......regardless of the level of conservatism.

in this stereotypical country of ours, its very much improper bisan na meet na nya ang parents sa guy. i know we are already living in a liberated society but still the stigma remains in a girl.
besides, it would show the upbringing of the girl and what kind of family she has.
