better yet buy nalang ka wireless router nalang rather than router lang, para future expansion ba, and same same ra ang price sa router ra gyud or even cheaper pa..
mao ni nimu kinahanglanun bro
*router with built-in wifi and switch
*cat5e utp cable
*rj-45 connector
*NIC kung walay built-in LAN imu mobo
optional:kung dle ka nahan ug wired palit nalang 2 kabuok na wifi LAN card...
para makabarato ka pangitaa ug ani na items dre sa istorya adto computers and Accessories.
usually this is the setup for a common DSL connection
MODEM --> ROUTER (4 PORTS) --> WORKSTATION(s)
using UTP Cat5 as your cable (Straight Cable)
UTP Cat 5 connection: Straight Cable
- RJ45 connectors
- UT Cat5 Cable
* with both ends of the UTP Cat5 cable, arrange the twisted wires with the following color arrangement: White Orange | Orange | White Green | Blue | White Blue | Green | White Brown | Brown
* With the use of crimping tool, crimp the RJ45 connector using the wire arrangement above, make sure that the ends of the wite are visible on the tip of the RJ45 connector. Crimp them securely.
* connect them to the router and if the LED light is on, then congrats you are now connected!
^ unsa na siya nga configuration? **edit** ayaw nalng kay 568B diay.
ako nahibaw-an is if naa switch or router, you go with straight through (2 methods)
T568A
(clip facing away)
Striped Green | Solid Green | Striped Orange | Solid Blue | Striped Blue | Solid Orange | Striped Brown | Solid Brown
T568B
(clip facing away)
Striped Orange | Solid Orange | Striped Green | Solid Blue | Striped Blue | Solid Green | Striped Brown | Solid Brown
kung wala ka hub, you can use a crossover, where the other end is T568A then the other end is:
(clip facing away)
Striped Orange | Solid Orange | Striped Green | Striped Brown | Solid Brown | Solid Green | Solid Blue | Striped Blue
this way, you can connect the ethernet cable directly through each of the computer's NIC ports pero kailangan ang mo act ug server has an another NIC para sa internet connection or you can go with USB connection provided na naa USB-support ang modem.
**edit**
kapoy-kapoy lang ko, ara man diay:
