Future air wars will be fought by unmanned aerial vehicles, no more pilots, no more risk, and no more payroll for pilots. Well-programmed computers would provide better and precise decisions than the average pilot. PAF would save a lot from this. That's why I think that PAF should work with DOST to develop unmanned aircraft sayang ra kaayo ato mga talented na engineers. Also they could develop weapon systems that is far better than conventional weapons in terms of collateral damage and of course the costs.

So when Tom Clancy or some other ex-military person (i.e. Vipers in the Storm by Keith Rosencrantz) writes his all their nonfiction stuff about the military , I guess they totally disregard the more noble attempt to bring information to the public, and rather just want to fool people into thinking they now know more about the military now after reading their book, and just enjoys the profits from selling the book.

Ang point ko lang naman dito eh, may mga nag-e-enjoy mag-usap-usapan about ganitong matters tapos may darating na comment na parang makes you want to say "Hmmm, sabagay, konti lang nga naman ang alam ko about military matters, I better shut up then, baka mapahiya tuloy ako."...eh paano na ngayon ang usapan if more of those who indeed want to participate get slammed on the face with such a remark, at ganitong klaseng muni-muni ang pumasok sa kanilang isipan? Ang tanong ko ngayon, nakakatulong ba ito sa usapan o hindi?

Dont compare the Taliban to MILF - Both have totally different tactics...

Taliban - Are enemies that cannot be seen, they are using remote control bombs to discourage the coalition force and they will never fight face to face.

MILF - Is a very visible & large force, they have their camps.

no offense but this is the funniest post ever ive read for a long time..

    So your logic is..

If you're not an F1 Driver/Mechanic/ you have no right to talk about F1?
If you're not an NBA player you have no right to talk about NBA?
If you didnt know how to box, you have no right to talk about boxing?

Don't even compare this to Clancy. You are not a writer. You hold no poetic license. Nothing is being directed at you. You didn't even write anything that could be criticized. Only when you play the "I'm being bullied" card do I even talk to you. You are allowed to voice your opinion. pnoize has every right to voice his opinion that the majority of people here are armchair generals who are ignorant to the real military. You cry foul while doing the same. Humble yourself so you don't end up tripping yourself. Not everything is about you.

Civilians can drive. Civilians can play basketball. Civilians can slap each other. Not every civilian is in the military. Not every civilian is a politician or general that has millions/billions of dollars on their plate and then turn around to prioritize it. Don't talk to me of analogies which don't even come close to touching base with the topic. pffft! Comparing the NBA to the military. What is next? ... comparing Rambo to the Marines?

I basically predicted something in the lines of flanker's reaction to pnoize's post (and I was right, he did write a post in the tone I expected him to react to it).

So basically I was just trying to put myself in the shoes of those who were indeed posting their own naive views abot the matter at hand, and that if I were them, I'd probably feel a bit irked that someone drew some "magic line" that said something like "Here is the line that says, you're NOT an expert on these matters so stay behind this line". But I guess from now on, it suffice to say I will try my best not to empathize with others--it only gets me into trouble.

And btw, just to get the facts straight, I am a published writer.
