just this one period in my life though. about 3 years ago my thyroid got a bit swollen. symtoms included difficulty in breathing and palpitations. one night i had this terrible "attack" such that i woke my family up and asked them to rush me to the hospital. i thought i was dying. i became well an hour or so though. i never went to the doctor coz i hate tests/needles so i diagnosed myself LOL. i thought it was my thyroid gland just telling me i needed to take care of Me. so i decided to slow down a little, eat healthy, and most importantly, stop hurting myself emotionally (and i also diagnosed myself as "clinically depressed" at that time LOL). True enough, the swelling was gone. the palpitations no more. i learned to control my breathing and think happy thoughts.
so that's why, today, i quit a job whenever it becomes too stressful (and bosses as the main stressors). health is just too dear a price to pay, you know.
