The Philippines does not yet have the capability in terms of necessary technology to extract or drill oil. That is why we still need the assistance of foreign companies. The Philippines will have a share in the discovery of course. In due time we will operate that oil field. The important thing is there is an oil field in Philippine territory. There is more if we continue looking.

Oil field/s in the country can help but let's not just stop there or over dependent on them. We should look more other viable renewable energy sources.
