Bamboo - Sunshine(Nescafe single) = The Boo Radleys - Wake Up Boo

I don't know if Bamboo gave credits to the original artist. Check it out. You can even download the original song from the site.

Kitchie Nadal's Same Ground sounds like Alanis Morissette's You Learn.

hate the bands who do rip-offs and hate the bands who revive(i call it murder)good songs from the past, especially from the 90s. they make money out of it and the commonfolk havent the slightest idea that those good songs arent from those damn pinoy revivers.

the band that revived madonna's "crazy for you" should all get shot.

i personally think brownman revivals version of the e'heads song was a rip-off! pathetic!

im not a brownman revival fan, nor am i so keen on revivals, but in fairness to everybody, a rip off is completely different from revival. in fact brownman revival always acknowledges the eraserheads whenever they play maling akala in their gigs. if you listen carefully to the brownman's version of maling akala, they retained ely buendia's voice towards the last part, as a tribute to the eheads, i think.

a rip off, on the other hand, is taking a big chunk of an original song and create a completely new song out of it, and pass it as your own, or claim that it is original. check out orange and lemons' pinoy ako, and compare it with the care's chandeliers. and you will know what a rip off is.

again, a revival is not a rip off, a rip off is not a revival. ripping off is stealing, reviving is well, pathetic, but not stealing. still, i hate it when bands do both.

    reviving is not ripping off.

reviving is giving your own breath to a piece which is already done by someone.

ripping-off is stealing someone else's idea.

there are some good revival songs such as the shins take on "we will become sillhouettes"(the postal service).

sorry, OT, not very keen in detecting rip-offs. but also, revival is, in itself, a valid creative idea. singing/arranging a song in a different way also takes talent. ripping off, well, just consider the term used and you'll get the idea.
