I will go for certifications since this is more than required in my job than the Board Exam. There will never be a definite answer since it will greatly depend on which industry and/or department you are in. i go for certifications....

mao ..mao it depends on the demands or qualifications of your work/company.
naa man dghan nakapasar sa board..pero way trabaho.. naa puy uban na way board pero naay trabaho.. hehehe

pero ako personally, gnhn ko ug ECE sauna kay lagi engineering nya naay board exam, so engr. jd.. pero ang ako jd na-enrol kay comp.E man.. I already graduated compE .. happy man ko..

I choose to have both.... If I'm a board passer, this means that I'm a licensed engr. and I can have the title of engineer at least here in the Philippines...Then if I got certifications whether MCP, Cisco or Red hat....Then it simply means that I'm an specialist in this fields...Imagine how much impressive will my status then..I'm engr for my lifetime and an expert in IT...Unless if I would just focus only on electronics industry, I wouldn't be needing IT certifications.

Let Us enjoy the benefit of both worlds!!! Skills, money, and social status in one..But of course whatever we do if it is not the will of God for us, then all of our efforts would be non sense....So just do what feels right and comfortable...And always focus on God and everything will be more than fine...

wala may contentment ang tao gud.but its better kung padayon ka mo learn..license is just license..some companies dont just rely sa lisensya kay wat f tanan mo mga ECE..dnha na mag matter ang skills nimo...CCNA,Microsoft, ect...
