shot with my 55-250mm...

to get the effect i wanted, yes its a little over...to balance out the shadow area (neck and shadow side of her face)
mao ni tawag none traditional high key image...why i chose this technique?
i was on location, harsh direct sunlight would have made harsh shadow cast otherwise...
to differentiate id like to use agoroy's pictures of svdz from another thread as an example
notice the harsh shadows below the neck towards the chest. notice how he sacrificed a slightly under exposed face to balance out the harsh sunlight on the arms and torso.
i had similar less than ideal lighting conditions but in my photo of vanessa, her skin is brightly lit since its in direct sunlight and puti kaayo ang model but if you look closely there is still detail (more visible in the large version) skintone is definitely thereyet i was able to overcome the harsh shadows below the neck and under the lip and nose with this technique.
only the background where i have the MARKYAP watermark thats white or washed out.
the face and chest is not washed out...just slightly over, again to match the overall tone i wanted to get off the image...
here is another contrast shot from jeffrey.
notice the harsh cutline shadow below the neck, nose and eyebugs...with the technique i used, maover come ni siya![]()
