phoebe, pardon for the late response. i was very busy, huhu.

    so any updates now?

and for the brands, its by preferences. but i had bad lucks with linksys, two routers here and 1 huge unmanaged switch here are quite unstable for sometime running 22 hours per day(though this might cause for some factors). as for my personal usage in my room, netgear and tp-link catering me well. and for my family's little biz, advanced router used with the edimax and d-link brands. i've also tried belkin.

if youre just using it for basics, brand shall not be a big issue. just choose what you like and used to(of which i guess thats linksys^^). even if you have the toughest brand but powered here by our very beautiful electricity flow, i bet it wont be so tough anymore.^^ using the cheapest brand you can get(e.g. cdr-king brand) equipped with good electrical instability protection(e.g. UPS) will serve you for a long time(assuming you wont abuse it in usage and taken cared off fully). power factor is the main or most cause of sensitive electronic devices to fail.

belkin is good. and yes, you can have two routers but for the purpose of letting it reach the other place? how far? what are the obstacles? any metals blocking? you dont need another router to let it reach to a distance place but rather an extender. or simply buy a router with a very high range feature and copes up with dead spots. and any updates?^^
