Maybe so. But how can we really know if that candidate is truthful to everything that he has promised during the campaign period? Voters, no matter how knowledgable about politics, could only hope that he/she chose the better person for the job and would keep a part, if not everything, of that candidate's promises. Of course there are voters that can be bought. That's also part of the problem why the system of government we have does not progress. Corruption in the government has roots that goes as deep as the history of the Philippines.
