Thanks for the compliment boss... They say, ang nindot kay sa F2 (second generation) na mulabas... Get a good female for your "Rambutan" if you are interested in seeing better results bcoz I guarantee that your CT is carrying QUALITY genes coming from Bettanimaya of ABA-Davao...
Feed him constantly with livefoods twice a day (avoid overfeeding), add dried Talisay leaves on his tank, water change every other day and you would see great results... Plus, you can add vitamins like Vetracin (yes, kanang para sa manok) or Angel Drops Vita.
And to avoid curling of the fringes, place him in a tank that has a minimum height of 15 inches since the depper the tank, the better it is to maintain the finnage of your CTs. Flare him also under the sun early in the morning for about 10 mins.

May I ask what female did you cross him with? Regular CT, Double Ray, Cross ray?
Chances are, mga 10-20% rna mu carry sa genes which would result in a crossing of the fringes. Select the best pair which has the cross ray genes and try an F2. That way, you can produce more Cross Rays.
You need to have at least SIX rays that are crossing to call him a KING CROWNTAIL... Which is VERY DESIRABLE...
Actually, as soon as the fries become free-swimming (usually at the 3rd day of hatching), you must now remove the male before hunger gets to him and might consider his fries as lunch...

hehehehe bisaya rani ako bro Roy..
father betta is from Davao, and mother is just a regular plakat, but with nice coloration and big bodied. I'm not expecting anything from the fries, actually, this is the second attempt, first one was eaten by the father betta (dili kani nga CT).
Lipaya nako kita ko daghan fries, until now, about 60-70 siguro kabuok. sige ko pakaon nila ug daphnia, every other day. dagko na biya, murag 5-6mm na sila ka tas-a. ingon to Nev nako nga lawg lang kuno once a week ug daphnia but daghanon...let the daphnia breed para ang anak, kan-on pud sa mga fries.
Buotan man ang CT nga amahan, more than 7 days siya with the fries, wala man sad pangan-a...or basin wala lang ko kita.hehehe
Thank you sa info bro. If i am confident enough with my own breeding style, i will try to breed quality bettas na pud.
