@TS
looks like power draw will be around 200-230 watts
good luck sa imo 300watt generic psu bro![]()
generic ram na bro? btaw sakto cla about sa psu, better be cautious sa imung psu bro kai nag upgrade na baya kag mga components.
1800Php for 2 sticks of DDR400 Ram, so thats like 900Php a piece. its brand is G.skill. which is a Taiwanese brand that i trust alot, i upgraded my laptop with a g.skill brand RAM to 2gb and also my brothers and its been working for a while now. more than a year i can say
@ bootbox id be more scared if it was like 270-290W consumption but if you check out reviews and stuff ATI saves you alot of power issues.
a 300watt generic psu will not give you 300watts
most generic 500watt psu will suffer from stability issues
with just using ati radeon 1600pro which is not that power hungry
than a 2600pro. the psu is the most overlooked part in a pc
system. the older the psu the less power it can generate
if you think you're 300watt generic psu can handle it
then go for it. don't say i didn't warn you.
wow... 1500 ra ang 2Gb nga ddr400? asa ka ni palit ana bro? ky ang apacer 512mb sa interpace ky 850
Generic or not the current system now is running
2x256MB ram so installing 2x1gb Ram will hardly make a difference as all RAM of DDR runs at a constant 2.5V
1 40gb HDD at 7200RPM replacing to 250GB at 7200RPM. same access speed and just different size so hardly an increase in power if not none at all.
currently 1 x300 128MB ram with a cooling fan dedicated video card of course that has dual DVI link and VGA out put replacing it with 1 HD2600Pro 256MB ram with a cooling fan and has the same output except an added HDMI (sweet for HD output)
if anything i will estimated a 10-20W increase for power on idle and 40-50 increase for max load which i think is pretty generous based on the specs that my motherboard is 2 years old and doesnt sport dual core or quad, or nvidia for that matter. if u look at the picture i posted about you would have a better idea of how much it spends in power.
regardless many PSU's are underrated and people end up wasting more power than they need.
interesting read... minimal usage raman sad ni nga pc so i guess 300W will do fine.
