I know the theory behind this type of shot but when I tried it with runners at Abellena, I froze them without blurring the background. Do I focus on the runners by pressing the shutter halfway and then click at a later point or do I pre-focus on an area where they will be and shoot when they almost pass?
@ cmontoya: usually ana pre kay mag pan ka together with the subject. mag sunod ka sa ila movement. then anha pa ko mu half press then shoot. usahay mag servo ko sa focusing. kung mu-freeze gani apil ang backround , most likely medyo paspas ra imo shutter speed that it freezes the background as well. hope this helps ...

@elpropesor: Sakto na di-ay to ako gibuhat except for the shutter speed.Ako suwayan 1/30 sunod.
kinsay gusto mu shoot ug tennis?kay mu dula ko hehehe
hala ka nindot sa equistrienne....
