Ends of the EARTH in those verses doesn't meant directly corners like the square because you're referring to JOB 38:13 "Four corners of the EARTH".
Have you heard about the CARDINAL DIRECTION? the four corners of the earth referring to NORTH, EAST, WEST and SOUTH.

1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

so you know that in the early days, they didn't know much about the world. Then why take their words(bible) so seriously in the first place?
The fact of the matter is, new informations continue to emerge in our society and you guys seem to attach yourselves to the old beliefs and continue to defend them. Maybe because you feel that it's a threat to your very own "identity". In my opinion, i think it's "Intellectual materialism",you are clinging to this old beliefs because somehow you are already emotionally attached to this kind of reality.
We have to accept and understand that there is no such thing as a smart human being, for it is only a matter of time(gradually) before new informations start to emerge and it's up to you to look into it, and examine it without bias. And the human mind continues to be updated.
