I would say that islam is not really the cause of terrorism but unfortunately this religion is used by extremist as an instrument for terrorism. A great number of devout muslims and “believers� especially in the arab world actually believe that killing Christians by sacrificing one’s life is martyrdom and a gateway to heaven. I’m no islam expert here and I don’t know why killing innocent lives makes one to go heaven. Islam is not the cause of terrorism, its just an instrument….sad but true,

also, if u look at all terrorist attacks, the purpose isn't to just plain kill Christians, isn't it? The 9/11 attack was executed against America, something almost political. If these devout Muslims see a Christian walking by, I don't think they would kill him just because he's Christian.

Killing innocents does not make one go to heaven. Protecting Islam does.

Religion, whether Catholic or Islam, is there because of a power higher than humankind. But humans, the self-serving bunch that we are, have twisted it to fit our own beliefs. Both religions condone peace. The crusades, the suicide bombings and a whole list of atrocities I won't mention, these were done by people and groups who have a twisted understanding of what the religion really intends and used religion as an excuse to give their action a fake sense of rightness. It's not the religion. It's us, pathetic, uncivilized, self-serving humans who did all this.

i believe, like any other religion that exist, ISLAM does not promote violence and even more suicide as a sacrifice to have other people believed to have gone beyond the limits of its people's understanding, be judged. but a foundation that also promotes love and the value of life with courage as an instrument to stand for them.
