    25:9 But the wise answered, saying,
    'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you;
    but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.'

    lahi pud ni sya sa "ask and it shall be given"?

    curious lang ko. nganong mura mag fixated man ang middle eastern religions with virginity? ana sila ka sexually repressed?

    lesson : being a virgin does not guarantee you a ticket to heaven

    this parable is not about sexuality or being virgin...

    it's about the Lord Jesus Christ... we must be ready for he is coming... those who are foolish will continue their wrong doings and would not repent from their sins... and those who are wise will surely be accepted in heaven because they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour...

    read between the lines. symbolism often reflects either what is hidden deep in the unconscious or a cultural ethos. it can be a nagging thought that can't find full expression within the accepted norms of society, or a social norm that manifests itself indirectly.

    but granting for the sake of argument that it was nothing about virginity or sexuality, still i would not accept that it's about repentance. it's about foolish people who were rejected because of their foolishness -- in short, discrimination. was it their fault that they were foolish? are the mentally challenged individuals who, because of their limited capacity fail to do what is supposed to be done, predestined to be rejected? is that justice?

    ^ another lesson learned: if you want to go to heaven, don't be foolish to share what little you have
