Ever seen some players who walks, talks, dresses and behaves like his world revolves around airsoft 24/7? These guys who have an airsoft career think that they're the only ones who're meant to excel in airsoft. They take it seriously when they get defeated in a game (or if somebody dresses up better than them) and end up holding grudges for so long or cheat or trash talk just to overcome their insecurity. All that trouble for their ego. Airsoft is a game, a sport, a hobby, whatever you want to call it, but if you take it too seriously...you're making a fool of yourself.

Ok. Now let's see, what if a person doesn't do the following:

1. doesn't behave like his world revolves around airsoft 24/7. Only plays one game in like 2-3 months.

2. doesn't think he's meant to excel in airsoft playing

3. doesn't take it seriously when he gets defeated in a game (again, he rarely plays)

4. doesn't have grudges against anyone, but takes note of people who have bad character traits so he can avoid meeting them in either a game or in public.

But...he spends more than 50% of his earnings collecting airsoft stuff, esp. gear and equipment, because he has the money for it. Now I ask, how would you classify this person? Would you still think gina-career nya ang airsoft?

And another case...what if he is planning to become someone who sells airsoft stuff? Isn't it true that if you become someone who sells airsoft merchandise, your world will virtually revolve (maybe 24/7) around airsoft too? So does this sort of person also fall victim to the negative connotation of your "gina-career" nga description?

I am fully aware of the type of people you are talking about. However, we must all be wary of generalization--not all people who are fanatical about airsoft display or exhibit the characteristics you described earlier. I'm saying this kay unfair man pod sa uban nga ma-label nga "gina-career" when in fact they exhibit NONE of the batasan you described.

You asked for an example, I gave you an example. It seems you're pointing out the opposite of what I just gave you and adding some notes that I did not even bother getting into, where's the logic in that?

You really should be more careful before you jump the gun. Take note sa akong example, specific na ha. Kanang imong reply kai wala nai labuts akong example ha. OK?

Please read my post carefully ha? It starts with "Ever seen SOME..." some na ha, some. Dili na ALL so dili na generalization. Read and comprehend.

FYI, I'm also a collector so I also display from time to time aside from playing regularly.

Ang point nako, ngano I posted that, kay several times before, I have been accused of "gi-career" daw nako ang airsoft...HUH? I really didn't get it, on why he concluded this--it turned out the guy was just irked nga sige ko'g palit ug gear and guns, but I don't play regularly, pero siya kay dili man kaayo gapalit (kay he want's to spend his money on other things). In a way, "nasayangan" daw siya sa stuff nga akong gipalit unya wala nako gigamit. So basically, for the benefit of the readers of this thread, it was just a means to inform them nga dili tanan nga tawo nga fanatical about airsoft are those who "gi-career" nila ang airsoft. I consider myself a serious hobbyist, but I take offense to being considered nga "gi-career" nako ang airsoft because of my huge investment in the hobby. Kato ra man ako-a bro.
