question between Windows Xp 32-bit and Windows Xp 64-bit

Stay away from Intel processors... aside from the heat problems (makalagot kaayo nang ppl nga mu ingon nga bati ang AMD kay init)

This time with the Athlon 64 and the P4's its the other way around... have an Intel P4 3.0E for video encoding.. i get temps at 75c + ... grabe ka init

I also have an Athlon 64 3200(venice) runs a lot cooler... max of 42c ra..


Another thing is future compatibility.... Its always safer to have a 64bit capable OS esp with the coming release of Windows Vista.

Finally, dual core procs are around the corner... the best option is to buy a socket 939 processor now.. that way.. u just need to change the proc later and dual core na ka...

With intel.. ull have to buy a new mobo... tough luck.... The only good processor Intel has now is the Dothan (Pentium M) pero The AMD Turion is even better than that.

Things have surely changed since the Athlon days....

my A64 rig at home uses only stock Fan and heatsink, but temps only get as high as 38-46c...

you already running windows 64 bit??
