Yep. Retired 3 years ago, coincidentally it was the 3rd anniversary of retirement 3 days ago (October 1). Our only "Jet fighters kuno" are 12 Aermacchi S-211 trainers (from an original batch of 17), which aren't even in good flying condition.

im not sure if im right ha.....but we're still paying for the bataan nuke plant right? up to now?

IF CIRCUMSTANCES favors it, why not? though it has its risks, it's an alternative energy source than depending on coal and bunker fuel.

yup, we are still paying a WHOOPING $155,000 a day for that Bataan structure that has never produced even one watt of power.

and to make it functional again, we need billions of dollars....hahay

and there's one big problem: It was built near major earthquake fault lines and close to the then dormant Pinatubo volcano. why the hell did Westinghouse, Ferdie Marcos (bless his soul) and his cronies thought of locating it there in the first place?

RP isn't ready. and it s not a risk worth taking, we are not expendable. let them show the public first how efficient is the handling this time then the table would be open for negotiations. so far, ok paman ta in terms of power, so why not channel those funds to the people? or strengthen the Armed Forces.

i am in favor but phils have no money yet for nuclear plant. we still have debts. it's going balloon...

Taking small steps would be a start alright. But I'm guessing Congress would go ballistic. Even having a nuclear powered aircraft carrier in Philippine waters got some crazy reactions from politicians.

i guess now is a good time to start a new Philippines. kanang philippines nga nindot ug dungog... dili nang philippines nga always politics ra ang madunggan.

daghan na kaayo ug money nawala sa mga taw... wala lang gihapon tay dungog sa kalibutan.

to start with... nindot if we go nuclear...

The only way to SUCCESS is to FOLLOW the footsteps of those who SUCCEEDED .

But we have to ponder also :

    - Are the FIlipinos up to par with that kind of technology currently ?
    - Are we ready for the transition for the betterment it brings ?
    - Do we have the ways and means ?
    - Do we have the finance to make it operational ?

Of course I am in favor basta kana 4 , YES ang tubag . I once got temporarily stationed in 1 of Uncle Sam's Nuke powered carrier , just an idea though ... that ship is not BIG . Its very , very BIG and the NUKE technology is its life . Refueling takes place every 12 years . So imagined if mao na ang power plant catering the POWER SUPPLY of the country .
