Don't want to jump into conclusion but she had her own way of voicing out her cries which indeed lead her to death.May she rest in peace and condolence to her family and friends.......

Well, however she chose to die, we are in no position to question that. Because Rachel Mae Palang is an adult, and as such, she very well knows what she got herself into. Let us not judge the person as stupid or whatever you may call her because that was her own choice. You may not agree with it, but you don't have the right to judge either.

Whoever works in the government here (work in the government in the sense nga walay backer ha)? Because if you are, then you would understand Rachel's sentiments. I am in the medical field also (just like Rachel) and I am assigned in a very remote area in one of the provinces. It was my first assignment, and didn't expect nga sa government pa ko maka-work. Didto nako nakita how rotten the government is. My work is not taxing physically, but it is very taxing emotionally. Daghang patients who would go there without money, and the pharmacy has no medicines. The mayor has promised to give Philhealth to residents (specially to indigents) last year pa but up to this moment, they were just words that seemed to drift away with time. Asa man diay atong budget sa health? As a medical employee, it breaks my heart to see patients die because of incapacity to supply their needs. To compound the problem even more, you see other employees of the hospital using funds for personal use. Bahala na ang mga pasyente walay tambal basta sila naay daghang kwarta. Daghang employees dili mu-trabaho sa ilang trabaho kay tutal pinasulod bitaw ug politiko.

How can you live with that? A poster here commented to just go with the flow, sakay-sakay lang? In my personal opinion, shutting up and just going with the flow is just the same as condoning them with what they are doing. I am not a leftist nor a rightist. If I have several angst about how this government works, it is because it has several lapses.

However, I do not plan to climb the mountains to seek change. My battle is not in the mountains, it is right here in front of my eyes everyday as I go to work. I may not be very popular in my working area but it doesn't bother me a bit. I am not running for a popularity contest.

I guess my message to those who seek change...work in any department of the government where you deem yourself useful and make yourself indispensable, and from there see if you can effect change.

    Hope you like this one!!!

Mildred was a 93-year-old woman who was particularly despondent over the

recent death of her husband Earl. She decided that she would just kill

herself and join him in death.

Thinking that it would be best to get it over with quickly, she took out

Earl's old Army pistol and made the decision to shoot herself in the

    heart

since it was so badly broken in the first place. Not wanting to miss the

vital organ and become a vegetable and burden to someone, she called her

doctor's office to inquire as to just exactly where the heart

would be. "On a woman," the doctor said, "your heart would be just below

your left breast." Later that night, Mildred was admitted to the

    hospital

with a gunshot wound to her knee.

hehehehe....lesson: Guns and girls dont mix. Tawa na lang mo oi..sige ra mo lalis da.

Weak ang CPP-NPA mao nagkinahanglan sila ug mga tao na edukado . They are targetting the students bisan tuod na established na sila sa school of underground movement panahon pa sa LFS ug Sparrow .

I will never support and would even spit on her IDEALS . RIP to her though as a human being .

let me opine on your opinion, if u don't mind.

if u have read my previous posts, what i meant by the line "go w/ the flow or sakay sakay" is not what is intended to mean only. it was all about IDEALISM. Coz idealism doesn't necessarily mean always "to go against the flow", as in leftist ideals bah. Coz idealism transcends the left-right spectrum u know. U CAN GO W/ THE FLOW, BUT REMEMBER THAT YOU ALWAYS HAVE THE PADDLE TO STEER."

Just because u have seen the sad state of our medical services in the remote provinces doesn't justify you saying how rotten our government is. AFAIK, you have only seen a small piece of the picture. Unya tua pa gyud sa ngitngit dapit, not on the bright side. You only saw the bad side coz that's how some people naturally think nowadays. Good news is not good. Bad news is. To think the poor people there could be more than satisfied with what they have and might have a more optimist outlook in life than a medical practitioner like u.

In other words, don't complain. U very well know what u r going into as a medical practitioner in the remote areas. Pasalamat gani unta cla nimo nga nka tabang ka did2 as a public servant. If u don't like it, go to private hospitals or pag private practice nlng.

I myself have joined lots of medical missions as a club member together w/ volunteer SK's, LGU's, friend nursing students, doctor students, licensed nurses and doctors, and i also see sa mga luoy nga kababayans nato. But when i see them, i'm more inspired and motivated to help them in my own little way. We don't seed them hatred against our gov't but WE just SERVE.

Let's face it. We are still a developing country where poverty is a main concern. It can't be solved overnight. Yes, we have budget sa health but still it is not enough.

Now back to Rachelle Mae, even though she has high IQ or an excellent writer, we can't blame some people to think she was stupid & low EQ. To some, she is just statistics.

But anyway, patay naman nang tawo, so let's give due respect to the dead and pray for her soul nlng.

Yes, i do agree with u on your message to those who seek change:"to work in any department of the government where you deem yourself useful and make yourself indispensable, and from there see if you can effect change." ...
