I recommend One Hundred Years of Solitude and Love In the Time of Cholera, both by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
I also recommend Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita.
None of Dan Brown's Garbage.
The Alchemist is also garbage.
Mang flame jud ko.
You can flame me back if you want.
Hehehe.
Amy Tan novels are quite a treat. It has love, drama, interesting Chinese values & culture intertwined in its plot. One of her acclaimed literary piece, Joy Luck Club even made it to the big screen. Check out The Kitchen God's wife, The Hundred Secret Sense and her newest book The Bonesetter's Daughter. I haven't had a chance to read the latter but would love to get my hands on one.
