Mga bro,
Just a newbie question, kinahanglan pa i-license ang mga guns/rifles? Coz I heard somewhere na i-license pa daw. True?
mga idol... asa ko kapalit ug quality nga barato nga airsoft nga pusil? suya jud ko sa mga tao sa work.. and naay grupo nga maapilan nako?
Just my opinion.
You do not need to join a group to be an airsoft hobbyist or player. I am what is known in the airsoft community as a "Lone Wolf"--ever since I started owning airsoft units and gear, I have never really permanently joined a team. There are many disadvantages:
a) It's difficult to find games (not a problem for me because I seldom have the time to play anyways hehe), because if you belong to a team, it's usually the job of someone assigned to look for games, to look for matches/register in a tournament--plus, I'm into airsoft not only to play it, but also as a hobby--think of it as me collecting accessories for life-sized military miniatures, like Dragon Action Figures).
b) It's hard to maintain your unit if you're a newbie because you probably don't even know how your airsoft gun or rifle works, so if it breaks down or starts acting oddly, you don't know what to do. (not a problem for me because I have the internet at my disposal).
c) You can get branded as a loner/oddball.
However, this, like any other hobby, can be something personal and deeply rewarding, if you really like to collect and enjoying tearing things apart and putting them all back together again
There are a lot of airsoft shops around Cebu, I can recommend several, but a good "beginners" option would be QBC airsoft shop in front of the SKYGO Shop near Capitol. I believe they cater more to newbies because most of their items are repro and thus cheaper--authentic gear is very expensive. A more "mid-range" shop is Justin's Hobby Shop in Talamban. If you want the higher end stuff, Checksix in Mandaue (sorry forgot exact location) and Foxhole at Kartzone are the places to visit.
This is a weird issue. The PNP is enforcing something called the IRR. It states that all airsoft rifles and guns must be registered by the FED. There are indeed procedures to do this, and yes magbayad ka ug something like PHP 500.00 total. However, it's weird but I guess Cebu Police are not very strict on this because I haven't heard any reports of "unlicensed units" being confiscated here in Cebu, pero sa Metro Manila, daghan na ang kaso niani. So it's up to you--but for many of us who have been playing for quite some time now, the IRR is somewhat of "good idea, bad implementation"--I'll let you figure out what that means.

Tsk tsk tsk. Serious airsoft hobbyists do not condone such acts. Animals are living creatures who suffer pain just like you. You should be ashamed of yourself. I represent FILAIRSOFT (Filipino Airsoft) as an Operator. We monitor issues and general behavior of people involved in this sport. And I urge you to stop such activity and discourage you from doing so, because it creates negative public image for our sport/hobby, which we are trying to protect.

and on the other thread they are asking if they are willing to be sent to lanao or to any war zone for that matter.samot na dili mo fit ang ingon ani nga behavior in a regimented world like the military.the discipline in handling airsoft is the same discipline you need in handling real firearms.
@ cuiras: better take rodsky's advice
