My friend was deciding between a 93 Hatch and a corolla, called honda to inquire for a gasket the price is almost twice from a corolla.

Not true. Prices right now are comparable. Even sa regular maintenance, mas lugi ka sa Toyota coz every 5k kms and checkup compared to every 10k kms sa Honda.

Yup, bcoz deyr using the syntetic oil na quadrople ang price sa regular oil. Sa toyota optional if u go for multi-grade or syntetic. so naa kay choice kung mag pa bunal ka or dili. hehehe and the 5t, 15t, 25t,... basta naay "5" nga check up naa man me express service less than 1hr lang. ma huwat ra.

ex. Vios 1tkm check up will cost u 970, 5tkm 970, 10tkm 2788, 15tkm 1642, 20tkm 2788.
try to ask honda and compare the prices. ang price is for labor, parts and materials.

any way you put it honda cost more to maintain. if honda does 10k check ups only then toyota can do the same. it's just the oil... look at the cost of parts, honda is way more expensive then toyota.

one word...... MENTALLITY..... only in the phil.... the name makes it expensive because of the people.... and they same honda dont allow to make thier automobiles for hire..... buot hunahunaon same ra sila na japan made....in japan and her in US same price rajud sila from cost of the cars to the parts and service...when i was still in cebu i dont own a honda and toyota (own a euro car) but most likely mentaince cost almost the same naa ra nmo unsa imo gusto with regards to fast waring parts... like change oil you couls that in car na pwede magchange oil more than the regular sched... some do it every 5k or 3 months with ordinary oil some 10k or 6 months for synthetic oil and 15k or 20k for fully synthetic oil

Ok raman ang maintenance sa Honda. I dont think its expensive. BMW and ford cars are more expensive to maintain.
