depende ra na sa gamit og sa features kung unsay imong requirement. A lot of people prefer the symbian simply because they were used to it in the first place not because WM has lots of bugs. The symbian OS is designed to cover a larger market segment as compared to a WM. WM is designed for the PDA phone market.

The symbian is more of a phone with a PDA feature, while the WM is a Pocket PC with a phone feature- two very distinct characteristics. A clear cut example is: most symbian phones generally have a phone keypad while Pocket PC phones have the touch screens. To address keypad type of users, manufacturers using WM introduces smartphones, but it doesn't have the full Pocket PC feature.

i've used most of the mentioned except for the n96. I've got to say, I like the omnia if you want an all rounder. if you want a good all-rounder that's an excellent phone, get an n95.

the omnia has excellent battery life. I get around 2-3days easy. On my 2nd day, omnia normally has around 60% left. n95 would be pretty drained by mid day of day 2. i would be quick to point out that wm6.1 is still very buggy... but as a phone, its pretty good. still hard to text with the touchscreen qwerty board. the landscape mode helps for texting. (which is why I chose the omnia over the touch diamond... diamond did not have a landscape qwerty keyboard designed into it.

the browser on the omnia is not bad... opera but i find the zoom function a little buggy... wish it would work like the iphone browser. I still think that was the best ever!

for text, the n95 wins hands down. great interface on the s60. it just can't be beat. the call functions also go to the n95. the omnia just has a nice speed dial interface with the touchscreen feature. using samsung theme 1.

as for gps, omnia wins! there are just so many options and so much to do with it! i've tried using the gps function on the streets of madrid and it worked fine. although i noticed the battery got used much much faster. the n95 does a decent job but the interface options provided by program options on wm6.1 is just so much better. 8gb built in for either model helps tons for gps. on the omnia for asian countrys i use mapking and for europe and usa I use tomtom(the i900 has retired my navigon 2100!)

camera on both are decent but the n95 has the edge on better optics. carl gives nokia the edge! samsung does a very good job and delivers on the goodies. I find it uses the panaroma snapper efficiently. panaman for s60 is just to slow... in both, 8gb provides excellent storage.

the i900 also plays divx off the box! no new apps needed. there are many additional apps for mp3 and video and coremedia player is a very good player. there are also several mp3 players for the unit. the n95 has a decent player but its pretty plain banana... the touch screen also makes playlist management easier with the samsung.

if you want a nice toy and media device, get an omnia. if you want a good phone and nice all rounder, get the n95-8gb. (forget the old n95... baaadddd battery life) theres no such thing as the better phone. it boils down to what you need it for. (omnia is on my sun cell so I really dont text at all... hence I'm a happy guy with it!)
