pero half helmet na standard and good quality bro, dakpon lng gihapon kay dili mana xa full face....
I saw a really weird helmet today.. It looked something like this
hehehe got the pic from Yahoo! But I added the horns![]()
as what i've read in other forums and news that implementation of the ban on half head helmet is ON HOLD due to some issues to be resolved first.
but the ban on motorcycle modifications is already implemented. bantay2x nalang mo sa mga checkpoint kay dako kaayo ang multa.
mas maau man sad full face helmet kay katung vigilante nga cge ug suroy dli na masakpan....permi man gud 2 full face iya helmet......sunod ani nga balaod kay tanan sakyanan hasta mga public utility jeepney ug taxi...mga pasajero pasul obon napud ug helmet......
tinood jud na nga mas maayo ang mag wear ug sakto nga helmet for our own good. Just like what happen sa mandaue nga nadisgrasya wla cya ng wear ug sakto nga helmet perte jud boaka sa helmet hasta gud iya ulo buak sad....How sad that news![]()
A LETTER OF APPEAL TO THE OFFICIALS OF LTO
With the growing cost of oil and living expenses in the Philippines, a lot of our fellow countrymen have looked for cheaper ways of getting to work.
A good percentage of our people still look towards public transportation. However, with the growing number of people in the country, having to ply through thousands and thousands of people each day just to get from their homes to their work place is an exhausting experience. And once more, the travel from work to their homes drains the last remainder of energy they have to provide quality time for their families.
Now, with the increase of gasoline prices, a lot of our vehicle owners are looking for alternative means of transportation.
Over the past few years, the motorcycle population has grown and has given a lot of businesses and manufacturers a source of income on motorcycle sales, parts, accessories and services. This gave a lot of Filipino workers a lot of jobs in the manufacturing plants, distributors and retail stores for motorcycles and accessory shops.
A certain issue regarding new laws was passed by the LTO has rocked the motorcycle riding community recently. This is the new law known as ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. AHS-2008-015. Indicating the proper attire and gear for all motorcycle users and regulating/prohibiting modifications on motorcycles.
While we are supportive of this new law and its objective to promote and enforce safety in riding, we the member-riders from Pagkakaisa ng Manggagawa sa Transportasyon (PMT), Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino (BMP) and Sanlakas is appealing to temporarily suspend the implementation of the said guidelines for the following reasons.
1.) Some of the provisions from the guidelines must be amended due to its vagueness and lack of detailed scope. (e.g. Section VI “Any modification of the original standard design of a motorcycle or scooter shall first be subject to the approval of LTO and the DTI.”).
2.) Lack of Public consultation, particularly from the rider’s community.
3.) Lack of public information regarding the guidelines which created massive confusion and panic among the riders that also resulted to indiscriminate apprehensions by the enforcers (LTO, MMDA and LOCAL ENFORCERS).
While the proposed temporary suspension is in effect, we are also proposing that LTO should conduct a public consultation with the concerned riders in aid of improving the guidelines. This will help us formulate laws that are effective and not prejudicial to the rights of the motorcycle riding community.
We are hoping for your urgent response to this matter for the welfare of the motorcycle riding public.
