PSP advices !!

I am planning to buy a PSP asap.. but the only thing that keeps on pulling me back is if it is worth it ??

i just need some help and suggestions on this..

1) what Version should i concider looking for... the 1.5 or the 2.0..
2) which of the 2 Ver's have nice featurs.. or maybe there are the same ??
3) is there alot of games for PSP..
4)when i start Dling the ISO do i have to have a UMD in the UMD drive ??
5) what is Homebrew.. i hear this term alot but i dont know what does it refer to ??
6) is there any shops that can DL the pirated games in your memo-stick ??

answering those questions will really help me guys.. as much as for the rest of people that are willing to buy a PSP !!

Hey man, hit me up on yahoo, chronnus007, i didn't catch you on Hamachi when you messaged. Zerone has one too so you can get advice from him.

Anyways,

1. If you want to run homebrew applications (there's a sweet movie player that can play movies using the PSP's native resolution as well as a bunch of emulators, you'll also want the UMD emulator as well) you're better off sticking with 1.5, You can run some homebrew apps on 2.0 but not the UMD emu, and you will need GTA : LCS to be able to run those apps.

2. 2.0 firmware brings some really nice features, there's a built-in web browser included, support for AVC video formats (still at 320x240 though) and better support for image formats as well as the ability to change wallpapers. If you're not going to be using the browser though it's not worth going for 2.0. Then again some games will REQUIRE you to have 2.0 firmware..

3. There's plenty of games for the PSP, mostly hand-me-down ports of PS2 / console games.

4. ...

5. Homebrew - applications (could be games) that are made by the community and not officially sanctioned by Sony. There are PDF readers, movie players, Tetris clones, console emulators (for the SNES, Genesis, etc.) and a host of other apps.

The new games now require 2.0 and higher, I think the last game to play on the 1.5 was POP:Revelations, GTA and all the rest require 2.0 and higher, I'm just waiting for Generation of Chaos nalang RPG/Strat so yummy! also the new Splinter Cell/MGS/Syphon Filter triple spy goodnesssssss

nako question my psp guru's anways here it is naa ko psp den i was planning to buy an extra bat i read from the forums na pwede ang psp phat na bat sa psp slim palit lang ka og special cover para niya is this true if yes asa ko maka palit ana?

next question kanang mga homebrew games bah like emulator na try na kona hinay lagi i got version 4.10 man guro ako psp slim the latest does anybody knows onsay mga emulator na paspas mopadagan og SNES or Gameboy advance games??

Sa battery question mka tubag ko ana.. Yes tinuod na nga masulod ra ang psp phat nga batt sa psp slim.. palit lng ka cover pra matabonan nmo.. I don't know asa mka palit dni since sa gawas nko gipalit.. Ang ako batt gi palit naa mn gd cover.. dala na sa package..

how about sa homebrew na programs hinay mangud modagan sa ako psp slim 4.01 na firmware anyone knows onsa mga homebrew kusog modagan sa psp slim
