nindot unta kung ipa contrata sad ang pagdakop sa mga erring jeepney drivers, taxi drivers, private vehicle owners, ug ila pud ipacontrata palimpyo sa sidewalk to get rid of sidewalk vendors... kay sidewalk man kaha, dili man pud na sidevending. hehehehe. abtik man gud ang contractor to do CITOM's job.

We don't hear anything from these private owners regarding the towing of vehicles in their areas so it would be safe to say that what these towing companies and CITOM is doing is "right". The owners themselves might have asked and given the permission to put the sign on their properties. These private owners sees it on their advantage and not detrimental on their side which is why the "Clamping/Tow away zone" sign is placed or not removed. So everybody should learn the lesson never to park near these signs.

I can agree on this considering if I am also an owner of such establishment , I will just say samok ra na mga motorista unya sa tugkaran pa gyud nako ga park . Though the for the part of the GOVERNMENT ENFORCERS, their practice is considered IGNORANCE of the LAW . They can even be held liable to any damages , loss of time , etc to a particular motorist who NEVER violate such TRAFFIC LAW .

By saying dili mo park near SIGNS is not an excuse either for the ENFORCERS to know what are their JURISDICTIONS .

whether u vehemently think mamili cla ug sakyanan para ma tow or clamp or not, that is not an excuse. usahay pataka lng man gud ug park ning motor, usahay mo singit pa gyud ug mobabag in between 2 parked cars so ang resulta, maglisod na nuon ug gawas ang awto. cge nko ka suway sa akong awto ani sa downtown, pwera gaba lng...usahay ako nlng gud ang mosibog sa motor nga dili ako.

so kung napili-an ka nla, aw sorry nlng. dili na mosalir ang rason nga "cla lage wa man dakpa?"...such a lame excuse...quite frankly, humana ko ana, pero wa gihapon koy nahims...

so unsaon man pag fund-raising ana? so murag gapataka ra ta ug storya anang xmas party ninyo pasabot...

"Ignorance of the law excuses no one..."
While talking about ignorance.... LTO is not into towing of motorcycles on sidewalks.. LTO does not implement City Ordinances... LTO is way above CO 801... LTO does not have any agreement with ROAD WARRIOR. LTO does not receive a single cent from Road Warrior....Please do not confuse LTO and CITOM, both different entities... Their scope and enforcement powers are different.. Please think about this before you say ignorance of the law again... And if you actually believe there is no special treatment that is going on around the city..... We have been "informally" cautioned from doing to this to that and that to this, as they say "just use your common sense" when dealing with some particular people.....

Kaning gibuhat sa Road Warrior, bayad rani sa utang sa atong mayor (This is a common knowledge and talk among enforcers and agents, this is not just an insinuation on my part).... Let us not forget that his term ends on 2010, Mike Rama as far as we know, is not a fan of Road Warrior... VM Mike even wants the City to have its own towing department so that the city can earn.... The City only gets a measly sum from Road Warrior operations, if the City has its own, nana untay makatabang ug bayad para sa utang sa SRP...In my years of deputation, I have never never asked the services of ROAD WARRIOR... Ngano man, para ma dato ug samot ang insik??

My advice to fellow iSTORYANs is that if you know somebody or is somebody, become a deputized agent of LTO or CITOM then you do not have to worry about towing...As per "their" language.. Walay unay.... Ask yourself, how come many of the Deputized agents of LTO belong to the affluent or Fil-Chinese Community?

Lastly, ROAD WARRIOR personnel cannot, I repeat cannot tow vehicles if NO CITOM personnel accompanies them... Road Warrior does not have enforcement powers... If your vehicle is towed and there is no CITOM personnel in sight, demand that your vehicle be taken down... Ayaw mo pada anang alibi nila na "padulong na ang CITOM.. or contracted mi".. What they are doing is tantamount to carnapping...

Just to be safe, people should never park in areas where there is a "Clamping/Tow Away Zone" sign whether it's a public or private area to avoid any further complications.

ang ako lang ani, follow lang ta kung asa puede mo park.
in case lang gyud kay usahay naa man gyud emergency na kinahanglan mo park kadyot, unsaon man gyud pag deal aning towing contractors?
for the istoryans who are knowledgeable on legal matters regarding traffic violations, please share your opinions on our rights and how do we deal with these contractors? should we just allow them to clamp or tow our vehicles in our presence or we can just be given citation tickets?
