am confuse... to which is BDO and Metrobank is exposed? Lehman or AIG?...or both banks has exposure to both...

concern here kay naa ko savings sa metro...saun wala ko sa pinas...kulang ang insurance to cover the amount...

Lehman's bought by Barclay's of London...AIG's bailed out by the Fed Gov.

    any positive signs here?

This is what I have been talking about these past few weeks..

Americans Get Ready for an Enormous Tax Bill: Tech Ticker, Yahoo! Finance

This is BUSH's parting gift to us... which also includes hyper-inflation, debt, the drain of the treasury and fed reserve. Good Job
BUSH, PAULSON, BERNANKE, COX, SCHUMER, and all the other idiots in congress and senate.

Hyperinflation... hearing that sends a chill down my spine...

This is just like Weimar Republic back in Germany during the pre-Hitler era. The inflation rate was so high prices doubled within the day. Damn i would not want to imagine that happening elsewhere.

On a sidenote, New Zealand has a more responsible financial plan. Might be interesting to check that place out.

Gikan sa PBS tv program nga Bill Moyers' Journal: 09192008/transcript4.html
"During the last five years of his tenure as CEO of Lehman Brothers, Richard Fuld's total take was $354 million. The current chairman of Merrill Lynch, who's been on the job just nine months, pocketed a $15 million signing bonus. His predecessor, Stan O'Neal, retired with a package valued at $161 million after the company reported an 8 billion dollar loss in a single quarter. And remember Bear Stearns chairman James Cayne? After the company collapsed and was up for sale at bargain prices, he sold his stake for more than $60 million. And the former heads of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the gods who failed, are fighting to keep severance packages of close to $24 million combined on top of the millions in salary each earned last year while slaughtering the golden calf. As it is written in the gospel according to me first, when the going gets tough, the tough get going."

Ug mo daog si Obama (or si McCain)... he will inherit the (roughly) $3 TRILLION worth of headaches the BUSH administration made with all these bailouts (Bush and his idiots are currently proposing a 700 Billion bailout program - again).

Then - to pay for these bailouts, he's gonna raise taxes to fill the already drained treasury and fed reserve. Also - for the record - OBAMA is "FOR" these bailouts.
