@generals, yup im using in my I-Cafe.

@royfloydcabrera, bro im not using system mechanic instead im using tuneup utilities. it could not be a loophole but i guess incompatibility issue. i had tried system mechanic but darn, it asked to uninstall my anti-virus which i cant.

    fyi, im using NOD32 .

so great to know that it works for u sir...

you can reformat it..even the drive partition is unthawed..if it doesnt..ym me..there's a 1001 ways to kill a cat....

yes again..imcompatibility between deepsh....deepfreeze and the system mechanic apps..

    no other way than reformat..

hopefully...if ur using pure intel..the system cd had an app called system restore..not the windows os utility app..

very gud if BSOD uccors due to apps issues..even deepfreeze..since the apps works before u run ur windows..

for cafe or office with muliple pc with same specs..basically install a full suite of apps that shud be installed in a pc for ur purpose..

have an extra HDD...clone the installed PC drive c:

keep it..thats ur security in case of crash etc..

and clone all the remaining pc hdd with the installed pc hdd..

    dinali-ay na pagtrabaho..and secure..

i have tried this way before with 32 computers in a school..

and make sure, they can't save anything in drive c: or mydocs.

para dili labad imong ulo ug retrive sa ila files incase of crash etc...

have a networked storage or storage folder..

and we dont use deepfreeze.. though its very easy to get an updated full version enterprise edition copy...

Before nimo e deepfreeze imong hd, be sure nga naka set to normal status ang PC (Na detect tanan). Nagamit ko ug standard edition, wala man maghatag nako ug problema...

This if from another forum Index - Big Bruin

"I installed this software called Deepfreeze on HaVoc (my rig). Well the program was just sitting there without it being initiated. I was not utilizing the program at the moment nor have I been for the last couple months. I have never had an issue with DeepFreeze until now. I was in the middle of researching some stuff on the net, when suddenly I get an error with a bunch of error codes and seconds after a BSOD. The BSOD gives an error : DepFrzLo.sys is what caused this BSOD. So, my question is... Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this issue? As of now the only options I believe I have is either loading Knoppix on it and backing up any data that I possibly can then just reinstall windows on the hdd after. The other option, which is an option I am trying very hard to stay away from is, reinstalling windows and losing all my data.

DeepFreeze is an application that runs on the kernel level, which means its a pain in the @$$ to remove, not to mention its a software that is designed so that it cant be uninstalled by a simply using windows installer.

If anyone has any ideas that could aide in this process I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!"

"Update I am back in business.....

    What I did:

After hours of patiently pulling out strands of my hair in a furious yet calm manner . I found a solution. I realized that windows was crashing because of a file being corrupted. This file being DepFrzLo.sys . I figured if I go to my laptop which has a known good installation of DeepFreeze, and I simply copy that .sys file and save it on the root of a USB flashdrive, I can then simply pop in the WinXP CD and run a repair. While repairing I can then browse to my USB Flashdrive then simply replace the known bad .sys with the known good one. Theoretically that would work and so it did. That was exactly what I did. Now I am back on Havoc. I am so so glad that I was able to recover my beloved and much needed files.

In regards to your comments and opinions, thank you all for your ideas. Until next BSOD,

    HaVoc.Ghost"

Use your imagination - this is possible, the thing is, I will have to wait for a DepFrzLo.sys BSOD error.

Copy a DepFrzLo.sys file from your running computer to your BSOD DepFrzLo.sys computer. And he said that it worked. Hope it will.

    Reformat is the last option.
