    haha... now we're talking.

Incase you haven't been paying attention, that's what I've been doing... till you went on rambling about your bad experience and saying toyota is the devil.

Where's your friend "Mr. Stereo" ajol..... some piece of research work he did on the Fortuner pricing...

Here's a fact why people should buy fortuner..... it's a refresher if you're too lazy to read the previous posts...

Fortuner has the same power/torque as the Montero.... but Fortuner has 3.0L engine while montero needs a 3.2L.... Engine wise... Fortuner Wins...

wow taas napod kau dah. hehe kalma lng lagi mo mga taga istorya. fellow istoryans rata.
heres my own OPINION and POINT OF VIEW.

    1. The MS basic GLS model has a whole lot of value for money! its pegged at 1,430M(manila pricing since i dont know jud sa current pirce and discounts) discounted price versus the Fortuner 2.5 G 4x2 at 1,418M(manila pricing since i dont know jud sa current pirce and discounts) yes, the Fortuner may have leather interior (along side with fully automatic aircon, manual height adjuster for the driver's seat among the few) but who care when u can buy leather seat covers in the future?!

    2. The room at the back- 3rd row is far more comfortable with the MS. my dad is 5"10' and with the seat adjusted properly with the head raistrant up, it WON'T hit my head and touch my knees. Yes, the third row in an SUV is uncomfortable BUT the MS does it best- even a whole lot better that the new Pajero now!

    3. the 3.2 diesel engine may be bigger but it doesnt mean bigger fuel consumption- mitsubishi takes note that the fuel economy are within respectable levels with the rivals, performance and customer expectations by tuning the engine and computer box. giving it the best performance for the size and shape of the body... if you will see the brochures, the engine is tuned just a bit higher for the MS versus the Strada 3.2.

    4. the 3.2 may also mean its a bigger engine... BUT a bigger engine mean that it can assure you of longer engine life. since the power and torque is abundant, there is no need to have a little more attitude towards the accelerator.

    5. The INVECS-II reads your characteristic as the driver of the MS. it can upshift for you when you need engine braking and shifts at a time when you need more speed and this is very effective therefore lessening transmission wear. This is actually what has been found in the Passenger cars of Mitsubishi with the Outlander and the Pajero! the fortuner only has a regular automatic tranny

    6. The Sportronic mode +/- is a cool feature. this gives better control over your style of gear shifting. And makes it fun to drive too! Please take note that this feature is usually found in other MORE expensive SUVs!

    7. Irregardless of whether the aircon is overhead (facelifted fortuner)or at the side panel (old fortuner, Montero Sport), this will give the SUVs best effort cooling power.

    i hope this helps. thanks...

    sakto gyud ka Kenny....

The only downside sa MS is that iya design (for those who prefer form over function) is much catered for the boyz.
