puwede M$ Windows OS. I think ubay2 naman ang mga open-source for example mozilla firefox, Apache, PHP, notedpad++. Second, dili ka maka-appreciate sa open-source kay they are using C/C++, PHP, Java.

Naa siya .Net pero gamay ra kaayo. Mostly, sa .Net they are ported from Java like NUnit, NHibernate, Spring Fameworks.

murag lihas man uban tubag diri, gipa study man nuon ka lain language.samot ka mahagbong ana.vb6 inyo leksyon then lain language gigamit nimo sa imohang projects..haha..anyways, since school related imoha.. try read books lang bro..i'm sure naa daghan books about ana.and since karaan na ang vb6, naa na barato. if mahalan gihapon ka.ako buhatong before kay mamalit ko ug mga libro sa higher years kanang second hand ba.basta okay lang ang condition sa book then readable payts na..hope it helps..

nagsugod pud ko vb6 and sa work still using it to maintain our existing apps, but karon dotnet nami, but thats another story and with regards to your problem, naa ko book sa una nga barato ra then naa na visual basic 6 na IDE.but dili siya pirated.kalimot pud ko sa title basta yellow to siya.mao gamit nako sa balay.

pero kung naa ko school, ako buhaton kung vacant nako before pag college nako kay mo sit-in ko sa mga laboratory.. basta tarong lang pananghid sa teacher kay i'm sure ang laboratories dili mana mapuno..mao na ako buhaton before..then kung maka timing ka mag leksyon siya at least additional knowledge....basta mangita lang ka paagi bro naa man gyud way ba...

Sabihim mo sa school mo wag ng mag teach ng vb6 kay way gamit sa trabaho. Sayang tuition fee mo.

Bro...kung karon pa ka, mag-start ug study sa programming then you'll go for VB6, its waste of time and money coz VB6 is an old 1998 technology(10 years ago). I'll advice you to go for .NET(VB.NET or C#) that if you like microsoft based technology, but go for (Java, Python, PHP, or Ruby, etc) if you'll go for opensource....

Really, I find VB6 a good starting ground for learning programming. Its not totally useless and Ive done many projects on it, so you're not wasting your tuition. I know many will disagree. Just my opinion. It saddens me that micro$oft has ended support for VB6 to push for the newer .NET technology. Oh, well... Good luck in your VB6 course. Have fun!

vb6 is not totally useless, it still run doesn't it? we still maintain vb6 apps in our company.
vb6 is a good start for dirty programming

i bet your school library has vb6 books , what i do before is, i go to the library on my free time and read biology books LOL
