over the past few years i've learned not to settle on camera's that does not fit my taste

patience is indeed a virtue i love my 70-200mm 2.8

i have the same question a month ago, here's my tip:

1. decide what brand of SLR (canon or nikon) - i think mao rani ang duha ka brand nga na-ay maayo na service center, or let me say after sales service, of course you can take a look sa olympus, sony, pentax ug uban pa - ako-a Canon

2. once naka pili naka what brand - pili na pud ka what model - so sa ako na part ang ako gi-consider kay ang akong budget for the SLR - nag choose ko 40D, 450D n 1000D - then search sa internet for reviews and comparison - since i am very new ani, ako gipili Canon 450D, i reserved the extra budget for the lens (future plan)

3. mamili dayon ka ug store where to buy - ako gi-consider - buy it in HongKong or in Manila or in Cebu - final decision, sa Cebu ko mipalit - price difference in Hongkong kay mga 5 thousand lang but no warranty, in Manila - kasagaran didto kay store warranty lang pud difference is around 3 thousand, ending sa Photoshop ko ni palit (advertise naman ni, hehehe)
